Vancouver Colleges (continued from top)

Are you thinking about going to school in Vancouver, British Columbia? If so, you should know about what the city has to offer for students.

As far as Vancouver universities go, there is one major public research university in the area, and over 9 private Vancouver colleges. This city also boasts a number of private arts and other specialty institutes, as well as 2-year community or technical colleges. If you're looking for anything beyond an undergraduate degree, you'll most likely have to either earn it at the major public Vancouver university or through an online Vancouver college. Many online universities have campuses in Vancouver, and thus offer hybrid courses that utilize online technology while meeting occasionally in the classroom.

Because Vancouver is located on the Pacific Ocean, it is one of the most beautiful and cultural cities in Canada. Its downtown area boasts all the amenities of an international destination'from chic restaurants to hopping dance clubs and live music venues. If you want to broaden your mind outside of the classroom, make sure to catch a Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Concert or catch one of over 32 professional theatre groups perform within the city.

Vancouver is also a wonderful place to explore nature. Its geographic location makes it a great place for both summer and winter recreational activities. Students can often take a study break by exploring forested trails in the 763-hectare Pacific Spirit Regional Park either by foot or mountain bike. In the winter months, they can take a weekend off by skiing at the nearby Whistler-Blackcomb resort.
